I am an interdisciplinary artist based in the UK, originally from Japan who undertakes participatory projects internationally. Over the last 20 years I have made work in 15 countries using the media of performance art, installation and film/moving-image. Such work has focused on the lives and experiences of marginalised communities and individuals and allowed me to develop a large body of work addressing the conflicting elements of the world we live in today.
