Philipp Dietachmair (Austria) is Head of Programmes at the European Cultural Foundation (ECF) in Amsterdam. Since joining ECF 15 years ago, he has realized many long-term cooperation programs with new cultural initiatives in South East Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Turkey and the Arab Mediterranean countries. He has created the foundation’s Tandem cross-border collaboration programs. Philipp Dietachmair also has been involved in a number of field studies and book projects that analyze the role of cultural initiatives in civil society development and transnational collaboration, such as The Art of Civil Action – Political Space and Cultural Dissent.
